Everyone is affected by the increase in gas prices. The increased cost at the gas pump has many families needing to tighten their budgets. You need to get more miles for your money to keep your costs as low as possible. To do this there are two options; buy a second hand vauxhall or other model which does not guzzle gas, or improve your driving technique.
You will use less gas if you keep your car maintained and healthy. Keep the tyres at their proper rate of inflation. Deflated tyres use more petrol than properly inflated ones. Keep your air filter checked whenever the oil is changed. Having a clean air filter also affects gas mileage. Your car will last longer too if it is kept in good order. With people watching their budgets more closely, they tend to drive their cars for longer periods of time.
Another way of increasing gas mileage is to watch your driving habits. Things that we do all the time whilst driving effects how much gas is used. You will need to fill up the tank less if you decrease your speed. Driving over the speed limit is a waste of fuel. This also increases your safety and the safety of others on the road. Do not accelerate too quickly either. The longer it takes for you to reach the speed limit the less fuel you will use. It is just the same with braking, the faster you do it, the more fuel you use. Do not brake harshly if you want to use less fuel. Young drivers are especially likely to ride the break because they are less confidence. You can save them money by teaching teenage drivers not to do this.
For a healthier body and a healthier wallet you should cut down the amount of miles you do altogether. If you are going a short distance consider walking or riding a bike. Try to incorporate as many errands into one trip as possible so that you will decrease the miles you drive. Small changes in habits can save money at the pump by improving gas mileage.

Buying your first car not matter if it is a second hand corsa or a brand new Ferrari is a great experience. Driving away from the car lot in the car you now own is a terrific experience. This is one moment in your life that you are likely to remember forever. In the happiness of the moment, you will be likely to miss out on checking whether your vehicle has come with all the mandatory car interior accessories.
When you buy a second hand corsa for example you might want to spruce it up a bit on the inside. The following car interior accessories are a must in a used car.
1. Floor mats – Although most people would agree that floor mats are needed in every car, some sellers leave them out. This is one car interior accessory that absolutely has to be there. So if the person selling you the car does not have the floor mats, make sure you pick some up from your local car parts dealer.
2. Cup holders – many used cars do not have cup holders even though they have become standard in new cars. They come in a myriad of colours to suit any car interior and are well worth their money. If you do not want stained seats then cup holders are a must.
3. Hands-free Cell Phone Holder- By law and in general safety terms it is illegal to use your phone when driving so you should buy a hands free kit. No business call is worth a fine, imprisonment or an accident because you were on the phone instead of concentrating.
Air fresheners, funny signs, back seat organisers and sat navigation systems are other popular accessories. Think about the accessories that you would really like in your car and buy them from a local motor shop, it will make driving easier.

Any car driver can decide between an automatic or a manual transmission when they buy a new or used motor. If you’re just learning to drive, it is a good idea to get a feel for both so you know which you prefer when it comes to buying your first car. Some don’t realise that the type of transmission they choose affects the driving style they will need.
In most cases, anyone thinking about a used Vauxhall car will need to remember that most Vauxhalls come with a manual transmission. If it’s a luxury car you’re after like a Mercedes then these usually only come with an automatic transmission. Used Vauxhall cars that are automatics are generally harder to find, so you will have to broaden your car search. You can make the whole used car search an exciting experience.
Manual vs Automatic
The automatic car owners in this world would never go back to manual as they find autos so much easier. People with automatic cars like the fact the car does the hard work. Anyone that is looking at used Vauxhall cars might prefer to spend a bit longer searching for one with an automatic transmission, as they do appeal to many drivers. Of course, the cynics will say that it is lazy to buy an automatic car, as manual cars allow you more control over the car and a better driving experience.
Providing you choose the appropriate transmission for your car, you should always have happy motoring. If you’re used to using a manual, stick with that as it will be like second nature to you. Other people couldn’t imagine driving anything other than an automatic, but that’s fine too. Each to their own, when it comes to used Vauxhall cars.
