Visit Public Auto Auctions If You’re Looking For Great Deals

February 15th, 2010

If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Going to an auction in order to find the auto that you want may be ideal if you’re only looking to spend a certain amount of money for your auto; although there are some risks involved with this type of, “shopping”. There are a number of rules that you’ll want to keep in mind when you go to public auto auctions and here are some points to keep in mind that will keep you from getting taken advantage of when you’re selecting the Auction cars that you want.

Quality Vehicles at a Very Low Price is Why I Shop at Public Auto Auctions - The best video clips are here

Even though the auctioneer may be speaking rather rapidly, make sure that you are listening closely so that you’ll know the conditions under which you’re purchasing this auto. Many of the autos will be sold ‘as is’, which means that you will be taken on all current damages associated with the auto. If the auto is listed or described as ‘buyer beware’ this is definitely cause to proceed with caution.

What this phrase actually means is that the auto could break down hours after you drive it away from the auction, and you don’t have time to take the auto to a mechanic for a diagnostic check before purchasing it. The deal for these autos is final; so unless the auto title turns out to be fraudulent, you are stuck with what you pay for. Be aware that your case will probably not stand a chance in court, since lawyers are hesitant to waste their precious time with a used car case–especially a car that you bought at an auction.

Not all public auto auctions do auto title checks; therefore you should make sure to take advantage of a auto title check before you drive your new auto away from the auction site. These title checks may not be the most accurate, however, you can use the internet to get a thorough report of the vehicle’s history, and to find out what you need to do in order to sign the title over into your name.

When it comes to Public auto auctions, you should also keep in mind that you will always pay more for the auto than your original bid. Buyer’s premiums are attached to the price of the auto, and in most cases, this is only a few hundred dollars. Some auctions make the buyer’s premium five percent of the winning bid.

Keep this in mind when you’re bidding, so that the total cost of your purchase will still be in your budget. Don’t get so caught up in ‘winning’ that you go outside of your price range.

Toyota’s New Solar Powered Car

February 14th, 2010

One of the most popular Hybrid vehicles on the market is the Toyota Prius. It is both compact and economical, with a starting price of just $22,400. This price puts the Prius within the realms of reality for the everyday, albeit environmentally-conscious, individual.

The third generation of Toyota Prius, the 2010 model, has EPA ratings of 51 mpg city, and 49 mpg highway. Even for a hybrid, that’s not bad, and it’s a step up from earlier Toyota Prius models.

But a new pricing structure is lined up for this hybrid, and the Toyota Prius I, II, III, IV, and V are reportedly already available.

The lowest priced version is the Toyota Prius I, which should run for around $21,000, while the Prius V starts at $27,670.

While the new line of Priuses will include a range of features, it gets better.. A solar roof package is available for the Toyota Prius II, III, and IV Models – but not for the V.

The solar-powered roof system costs between $3,600 and $4,500, and uses solar panels to supplement the vehicle’s power and get even better mileage. This package also includes a solar-powered ventilation system, a navigation system, a power tilt/slide moon roof, and remote-control air conditioning (for those of us who just can’t be bothered to lean forward and turn the knob?)

With the combination of hybrid technology and solar power, an entirely different range of fuel efficiency may be possible. The solar powered hybrid is said to make mileages of up to 70 miles per gallon possible, under ideal circumstances.

If you live in or often visit a sunny climate, the solar roof might go a long ways in reducing your gas bill and carbon emissions.

Under some (although somewhat theoretical) circumstances, the driver of a solar-powered Toyota Prius might never need to buy gas at all.

But at the very least, a driver of a solar powered Prius who uses the vehicle’s “eco” settings and who follows basic speed guidelines can expect to need gasoline far less often – so infrequently, in fact, that he should take care not to forget to stop for gas at all.

Buy a Cheap Car at a Salvage Car Auction

February 11th, 2010

If an auto has been repossessed for one reason or another, or if a vehicle that is a bit older in make or model has not been claimed or bought, it might very well be put up for sale at salvage auctions. This has nothing to do with bad quality of the automobiles; you can actually get a decent car for a nice price at such an auction. However, there are a few things you’ll need to be aware of when you’re shopping at a salvage auction and below I will give you some tips that hopefully will help.

I Enjoy To Purchase Vehicles at Salvage Auctions from Terry Carters on Vimeo.

You will most likely be viewing salvaged cars at a public car auction, which means there is a good possibility many others will be bidding on the same auto that you want. You will probably have some ‘competition’, so it is mandatory that you organize your budget before going to the auction. This way, you will be very clear about what your limits are before you start the bidding process. A main reason for this is, at a salvage auction you will have to pay additional fees after you win the bid on the car. For car buyers the fee can be around 10 percent of the total price of the car.

Another very important thing to remember is making sure that you’re able to see the title of the vehicle before you take it off the lot and drive it home. The only chance you have to get out of a deal you are not comfortable with at salvage auctions is if the title is fraudulent, and if you don’t have the proper title you wouldn’t know what type of allowances you have either.

Internet is another option. You can shop online for the salvage auction cars that you are interested in. If you want to purchase on the web you may also want to check out the Salvage Direct website. This [spin]web|online|internet[spin] resource will give you all the links to used automobiles that are of decent quality and you’ll also find links to other vehicles you may want to purchase, such as motorcycles, RVs, boats and snowmobiles.

You can buy commercial vehicles from this site as well. Purchasing from this site will help you save money if you’re starting a new business. You can also look for a website called ridesafely.com in. At this site you will get access to information about live or online salvage auctions that you may be interested in attending.

You can also find vehicles from Honda and Yamaha as well as customer service that are available in three languages. After completing your purchase online, you can go to one of the distributor locations in USA to pick up your new vehicle.

Quality models such as Lexus and Mercedes are featured on this website, but you can find more economic models such as Toyota and Honda on the site as well. You can also find out where the car is physically located so that you can place your bids wisely, and in addition the deadlines for placing the bids on vehicles that you want are listed on the site for salvage auctions as well.

Cars For Girls

February 10th, 2010

What cars attract fashion girls: public opinion poll results

In modern world a car is an indicator of the man’s status, success, taste and character in the eyes of women. For your flirt to be successful you have to be the owner of BMW, Lexus, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Toyota, Rolls Royce, Infinity, or exclusive Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Bentley.

All men strive to find the better ways to women’s hearts but the modern women have a major change in priorities. So, women turn their heads to the direction of fancy cars rather than of handsome men. If your “target” is a clubber or celebrity you have to be prepared for a cover girl seems to be out of reach only to unconfident men. So, what are the factors of successful flirt?

• Good look? Not really!
• Charm and charisma? Still no.
• Elegance and gallantry? Useful, but still not necessary.

What if not your car can tell the most about your insides? So, we conducted the POP at the one women’s web-site and its results speak for themselves:
• 33% of girls assume their potential boyfriend to have Jeep.
• 23% prefer the representative class cars
• 22% think that the car brand doesn’t mean anything
• almost 16% would want their boyfriends to have sports cars
• finally 5% have chosen cabriolet

Ok, so when you see a Jeep on the street it is not only likely to be passed by the other drivers it’s also likely for a pretty girl to be easily seated in.

The choice ?2 – representative class cars. Surely they refer to the most serious, successful top-level businessmen who always were the primary targets for women.

The most interesting for us is the response of 22% who don’t care about their boyfriends car brands. It gives some optimism to those who just decided to purchase a car or don’t care about brands either.

Telling the truth I was shocked with so low interest to cabriolets. Well, maybe it is the matter of jealousy for when your boyfriend rides it the eyes of all women would be on him!

So, we asked the second question about the preferable producers and results were the following:
• 300 ladies voted for BMW (28%)
• Then goes Lexus (24%)
• 3rd place is for Mercedes (20%)
• 4th place is taken by Infinity (17%)
• And 10% had chosen other brands.

The results were not unusual. BMW was and still is a true leader but Lexus is coming to a very short distance. Too sad to see how Mercedez-Benz loses its positions though their all new models are made up to luxury class and are the idol of design and comfort. So, when thinking of purchasing a new car take women’s preferences into consideration and you will always be adored!

5 Rationales to Use Biodiesel Fuel

February 9th, 2010

There are a million reasons to use Biodiesel instead of diesel fuel or other alternative fuels. It is something you should think about

Here are the five best reasons why Biodiesel should be used in your vehicle immediately.

Reason One - there is less water in Biodiesel when compared to diesel fuel.

Water is mixed with every fuel at some stage Nevertheless there are varying amounts of water in the fuel you put into your car.

An excess amount of water can damage your car, if you happen to get making it run poorly or completely disfunction. In general, Biodiesel is mixed with less water, This means that you will not experience these difficulties when using it.

Reason Two - Biodiesel costs less.

Homemade Biodiesel is an option which makes it very affordable it is cheaper than regular diesel even when bought at the pump. Your vehicle will run better with Biodiesel and this means that service and maintenance will cost less.

Reason Three - Biodiesel improves your vehicle. Biodiesel will lubricate your engine and produce less deposits when it burns. As time goes by you will need to spend less money on maintenance.

Reason Four - Biodiesel sources will not run out

Having a renewable fuel source is something that is very important.Having a renewable fuel source is something that is very important Most people are unaware that our fuel sources are dwindling Many people simply do not realize that the current fuel sources are being used upOnce they disappear nobody can bring them back.

Renewable energy sources, like Biodiesel, will never run out. Biodiesel is made from natural ingredients that can be made again and again.

Reason Five - There is less pollution when Biodiesel is used.

Vehicle exhaust is the single worst offender for contributing to high pollution levels. Because there are such a large number of vehicles on the road this fact is not suprising Regular fuel is dirty and gives off many pollutants.

Biodiesel does not pollute the air because it burns clean. Using Biodiesel or even a Biodiesel blend helps to cut down on pollution. it is helpful for not only the environment but all living creatures that are forced to breathe the contaminated air. Even a small amount is good to reduce.

Today, many people are trying out Homemade Biodiesel. I recommend that you try it out.

Trucks And Their Anatomy

February 2nd, 2010

Some Words About Trucks

We can’t imagine our life without a car today. It has become a part of our everyday life and it is difficult to live without it. Sometimes we have to transport our car and what do we need for this purpose? We need a truck!

A truck (lorry) – this is motor vehicle used for transporting goods and materials. It is usually a commercial vehicle. They can have different sizes and some of them can be like a passenger automobile. They can also serve as a platform for specialized equipment.

The word “truck” has its origin from Greek word “trochos” which means “wheel”. That is why in the past large wheels were called trucks. Time has passed and later they were called motor trucks. The reason is that the gasoline engine driven trucks has appeared in the world.

Now let’s see the anatomy of trucks. Almost all of them have the same construction:

Cab – it is an enclosed space where a driver takes his place. A cab can have some configurations:

- Cab over engine (flat nose) – in this cab the driver seats above the front axle and the engine. Such cabs are popular in Europe, because there overall truck lengths are strictly regulated. But they are also used in other parts of the world.

- Conventional cab – in this cab driver seats behind the engine. The place is the same as in most passenger cars or pickup trucks. Such cabs are popular in North America and that is why they are also known as American cabs.

- Cab beside engine – this cab is also known and used but rare (shipping yards, aircraft baggage loading).

Sleeper – this is a special place connected with a cab, where a driver can have a rest, sleep, when he has time.

Engine - petrol engines (gasoline engines) or four stroke diesel engine with a turbocharger and intercooler.

Drivetrain –an automatic transmission or a manual transmission with synchronizers or without it.

Frame - consists of two parallel boxed (tubular) C-shaped rails (beams) which are held together by crossmembers. They are usually called ladder frames. The frame can be made of steel or aluminium.

Do you know that the oldest motor truck was built in 1896 by Gottlieb Daimler. It was the first pickup truck, which had a four-horsepower engine and a belt drive with two forward speeds and one reverse.

There are 3 popular truck shows that take place in the United Kingdom:

Shropshire Truck Show in Oswestry Showground – takes place in May,
The UK Truck Show held at Santa Pod Raceway – takes place in June
FIA European Drag Racing Championships from the home of European Drag-Racing.

These truck shows give the operators who take part with their trucks opportunity to win awards for their trucks and become popular.
